DESCRIPTION:
Automaton with music box, depicting castle scene with moving windmill, water wheel, soldiers on turret and horse back and rocking ship. The scene is enclosed in a background painted large oval dome, c1875
CONDITION:
the piece is in overall good original condition with several figures detached but present. There is a selection of two tunes, probably Swiss, a nice hand finished mechanism playing Les Sirenes Waltz and Aida March. Ht 23" to top of dome
